Getting To Know Me

Hi and welcome to my world....

These are garden 2017 beginning pictures. I wanted to start out by introducing myself with the photos to give you an idea what I am about. I am an avid gardener ( perfect by no means), but enjoy it a great deal. Mother nature will make even the best of the best cringe and scream.  I plant everything that I can, everything that I think I can sell at the local Farmer's Market, and what I think I would like to have on the table.

I was born in Missouri, around the Lake of the Ozarks area. Both my grandmothers had huge wonderful gardens and had a love of flowers also. We moved to Illinois when I was twelve and I have lived here since, except when I moved back to Missouri when I was 24 for a short spell to cover from a broken heart. I was young and thought I had found the love of a lifetime. The usual heartbreak that most go through. I have lived in Illinois every since. I now have the true love of a lifetime. We have only been together seven years, but it seems an eternity that we have known each other. He is a car guy and knows a little about gardens. He pulled too many weeds when he was younger so he tends to stay in his area of expertise and I in mine.

I found my passion of gardening watching my grandmother and helping her in her garden. I spent a great deal of time with my grandmother before moving to Illinois and learned a lot. I continue to read and study anything and everything I can on the subject. My other passions of nature and fishin started when I was two. My Daddy had me on the fishin bank when I was two. Daddy passed away when I was five, but I never lost that urge to hit the fishin bank whenever I could. I continue yet today to hit the fishin banks here in Tremont as much as I can between gardening and baking for the Farmer's Market.

I am new to the Blogging world and hope to grow and share with everyone. I love taking videos and pictures of things going on in the back yard and garden. Believe me when I say in the hour and a half that I try to sit by the garden in the morning and drink my coffee a lot happens. It is truly amazing.

When you read these stories on this Blog, keep in mind they are true. These are actually things that happened or are things that may teach you. Teaching you something new, making you laugh or making you smile just a little will be my goal each and every day.

I hope you enjoy!!!
